What is the size of your shadow?

Me and my shadow:( the Mills Brothers)

Diagnosed : May 25, 2012 Video date: Nov. 01, 2023

I have the power to change my world

Every morning as I wake up, it is with me,

As I try and get out of bed, it is with me.

Every minute of every day, it is with me.

I am being followed by a shadow.

That shadow is called Parkinson’s.

no matter what I do, I will not be able to shake it (pun intended.)

However I have a role in determining the size and impact that Shadow will cast on my day.

Light affects the length of a shadow

I am the light

When the light is low on the horizon😞?

The shadows are long

The horizon behind us is our past.

The Horizon in front of us is our future.

The more time we spend thinking about what was or what will be, the bigger that Parkinsons shadow becomes !

When the light is high in the sky

the shadow is much smaller.

This is our present, Our NOW!

When we spend our time in the NOW, we will have two choices as to what will attract our attention while we are in the NOW

Will we focus on the Good?

or

Will we focus on the Bad?

The choice we make,

will determine how bright that light, high in the sky will be.

You have to look for the good.

It is not as bold as the Bad.

The Good does not present itself with as much fanfare as the Bad.

The Bad is a Loud Show off

Constantly screaming “ Look at me!)

The Bad has no foundation , no solid base to support their accomplishments, thereby causing them to be top heavy and eventually come crashing down upon themselves .

The Good is nose to the grind stone, determined, and plucky.

The GOOD knows that the stronger the foundation , the stronger their support.

The Good uses a constant, consistent, forward approach.

This approach allows the Good

An opportunity to enjoy their successes and share them with others.

Find it once and it is easier the second time.

The Good, seems to come in smaller doses but the more you amass, the easier, the better your day,

The Good just needed to be noticed!

that notice, attracts more good.

noticing the good over and over

will diminish the bad,

for the Bad has no opportunity to fester and grow

If you want to change your world?

If you want to change the size of the shadow cast by your Parkinson’s?

Recognize the Good!

Choose the good in your day!

Brighten your light!

Be in the Now!

Let your light,

Be the inspiration for others!

Choose wisely

Have fun and be a Warrior
