Getting Dressed

Let’s talk Parkinson’s

It’s the Start of another month, and I question if Parkinson’s awareness is even working?

Despite the best efforts of many there is still so much misunderstood about this disease.

I do not blame anyone,

but us Parkies!

We must be more upfront,

more visible, less ashamed.

Less confused ,

about our disease.

In our reluctance to be seen

we are often then not heard ,

so we are then forgotten.

I don’t mean protest marching , chanting down the street .

Although that could be humorous to witness.

I mean, seen participating in life!

Attending grandchildren’s band concerts, golfing, dancing.

Socializing with others, Parkinson’s or not.

Talking about our Parkinson’s, sharing our Parkinson’s with others !

Giving others the chance to see us, talk to us, to hear our story.

Your story must be told.

It’s Your choice,

Take a chance

let your voice

Be heard,

Be less concerned

About the “ME”

In order to better

Serve the “WE”

So here’s your chance,

Practice by telling me your Parkinson’s story.

There is no right way to start

So try the write way!

Or

Film it!

Show it to me.

Tell it to me.

Let this be the day your story starts to be visible to the world!

Be Parkie Proud!

Have fun and be a warrior!
