Get rid of negative self talk

The average person can say on average 300 to a 1000 words a minute in their head as much as 60000 words a day!!!

Unfortunately 65% of these words will be negative. Words like can’t, won’t, don’t, dominate our thought process.

We must try and rid these kind of thoughts from out of our heads.

Think of them as a tv show you detest. You are the remote, you control whether you suffer this show or change the channel to one you enjoy!

This is at minimum a two step process.

1: recognition of these negative thoughts

2: replace them with positive thoughts

To find out what positive thoughts to use. Look back and try and remember your good days and what made them good.

For me three things come to play, My good days seem to include 3 things.

Socialization : meet and talk to people

Movement: motion is lotion . Get out and move

Laughter : nothing is better for the soul than hearing someone laugh. Whether it’s you or someone else.

I write these down as MY THREE POWER AFFIRMATIONS!

I carry them with me. So when I struggle. And I will struggle! I can use them as a means to get back on track.

I also know that as my life with Parkinson’s will change. So to Will my 3 power affirmations.

Nevertheless, I endeavour to eliminate the negative and ACCENTUATE the positive!😀j
