Always look on the bright side of life

Always look on the bright side of life: Monty Python

Diagnosed May 25, 2012 Jan 21, 2023

My diagnosis with Parkinson’s has made me appreciate each day.

There is always good and bad in each day.

The bad may even exceed the good. But it is the good , no matter how small, that inspires me to move on, Parkinson’s or not.

Parkinson’s has shown me the support and love by others that I have amassed over my life time. It is through them that I realize life is always better than the alternative., Disease or no disease.

It reminds me of a poem that my Dad carried with him.

” I have been given this day to use as I will.

I can waste it or use it for good.

What I did with this day is important.

For I am exchanging a day of my life for it.

When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever.

Leaving something in its place, I have traded for it.

I want it to be a gain, not a loss.

Good not Evil.

Success not failure.

Most importantly I do not want to forget the price i paid for it….

A day of my life.”

Parkinson’s has made me WANT to seize the day,

To always look on the bright side of life!

Have fun and be a warrior
