A short Parkie love story

Using words associated with Parkinson’s

It was just another day,

Atypical Parkinsonism Day!

The weather couldn’t decide if it was going to rain or not .

All day long the moisture fell in intermittent,

On or off periods.

But in the small country of Dystonia

It could be worse

The moisture could be freezing!

Our hero, let’s call him Basal.

Yes that’s his name !

Basal Ganglia .

His evening seemed to be planned out for him.

However little did Basal know what love had in store for him this night.

Seems like Basal and his three idiotic hench men , Leve Dopa and the Dua Dopa twins, were looking to let loose tonight.

They were planning for some lewey body Festination at their local dance hall,

“The Dyskinesia “

They had already consumed several bottles of liquid sinimet.

Looking for that Dopamine high.

And It wouldn’t be long now before some idiopathic behaviour, would soon begin.

Once that began, even deep brain stimulation, would be of no help.

They soon became overwhelmed with a warm Bradykinesia feeling.

Finding a rest room would now be as certain as Kripton being supermans home planet.

The “Dyskinesia” was the place to be this night,

the W.H.O. Was there.

The local band “ the Movement Disorders “ had the dance floor a buzz with involuntary muscular movements to their new number one song, the Tic.

The security was.Tight,

But the 4 boys eventually slipped through the new Blood-brain barrier security system .

However their entrance did not go unnoticed!

Our romantic interest saw Basal as soon as he entered the room.

She approached him, her intentions masked by her emotionless face.

He noticed her as well.

His anxiety getting the best of him, his left hand started to tremor.

Grabbing his hand, she softly stated her name,

“ Hi I’m Mado, Mado Par”

He felt a tremor down below.

He rushed to get her onto the dance floor, before his rigidity would be obvious to everybody.

Their restless legs quickly wrapped around each other and they danced and convulsed as one,

In perfect semmetral.

Hour after hour, well into the

Substantia Nigra

The end
