So this is why Parkinson’s is called a movement disorder

The topic for todays Parkinson’s awareness is one that constantly has us on the move.

To a Parkie there are many causes and movements that will require our participation.

THE BOWEL MOVEMENT is one of these!

Hell , I think half the kms I walk in a day are to the bathroom and back!

Forget Dystonia, Forget Dyskinesia!

Motor or Non Motor issues all play second fiddle,

Shit ( oops bad pun) everything gets over ruled by those Bath room urges!

When you gotta go , YOU GOTTA GO!

One of the first side effects that hit me was Diarrhoea.

I would have very little warning. When the urge hit , IT WAS NOW!

I soiled my self so many times , I had to pack extra clothing where ever I went.

i exposed my Butt on the side of the road so many times the highway between my place and Sasktoon, well lets just say there was a full moon sighting almost every time.

However as with all most everything with my Parkinon’s, I adapted to it, as it adapted to me.

A Parkinson’s Diagnosis means that as it progresses I must be willing to progress as well.

My willingness to adapt and change requires my Parkinson’s to adapt as well.

This is a constant battle!

10 more KMs were Flushed down the drain yesterday.

It is amazing how far one can walk when shopping and attending grandchildren events.

However I still need your help. Walk withe me so that together we can hopefully wipe Parkinson’s from our lives.

Have fun and be a warrior.
